Barbara Bache-Wiig
Barbara J. Bache-Wiig is a retired
speech/language pathologist who segued into writing poetry
after
a stroke that hit her left temporal lobe (speech/language) fourteen
years ago.
Her poems have been published in
ASHA
Magazine, Chrysanthemum, Free Verse, Writers' Cramp,
Kaleidoscope, Poetry Depth Quarterly, She has two
chapbooks, Lessons, 1997,
and
Marking Time in 2004.
She is a member of the Wisconsin
Fellowship of Poets (WFOP) and The Poetry People.
She was selected as UW-Waukesha's Distinguished Alumna,
2008.

Mary Jo Balistreri
Mary Jo spent most
of her life as a concert pianist and harpsichordist. When she
retired, she began writing poetry. Today, she spends as much time
writing as she once did practicing. She was awarded 2nd place in the
annual Bo Carter Memorial prize for writing poetry. In
October, Mary Jo will be participating in
One Vision .
She is a contributor to the Wisconsin Poets' Calendar, 2012
edition.
Her first book,
Joy Comes In The Morning, was published in 2008 by
Bellowing Ark Press.

Carol Deprez
Carol has published a
chap book, Poem Fish.
She won Third Place for Serious Poetry and Honorable Mentions for
Humorous Poetry in the 2008 WRWA Jade Ring Contest.
Carol is also an accomplished photographer and we thank her for
sharing her photos on this site. |

Janet Leahy Janet's subject matter includes
politics, inner city school kids and cosmic wonder.
She has published a chap book,
The Storm ~ Poems of War Iraq .
Janet received Runner-up for "Gas,
1940" in the Wisconsin People & Ideas Wisconsin Book Festival
2009 Poetry Contest. Other awards include 2008: Honorable
mention for Winter Haiku - Free Verse, issue
#94; awards from the Bo Carter Memorial Writing Contest sponsored by the
Waukesha Writers' Workshop. |

Kathleen (Katy) Phillips
Katy lives, gardens, reads and writes
at her home in Waukesha, Wisconsin. A former teacher, she has
been writing poetry for eight years, drawing on her life as wife,
mother and grandmother for inspiration.
Her poetry is also awed into writing by the world of nature right
outside her door and the world she has met during her travels.
Add an interest in all things Irish and you have an idea of what
makes this poet tick!
Katy, a member of WFOP and the Poetry People, LOVES to go to
workshops to learn more about the wonder-filled world of writing.
She has published two chap books
,
Voices from the Orchard and At the Edge of the Woods.
Kathleen received awards from the Waukesha Writers' Workshop,
Wisconsin Regional Writers Association and the Wisconsin Fellowship
of Poets. |

Betty Irene Priebe
Betty has published a chap book,
Porch Shadows.
She joins us occasionally for readings and is always with us in
spirit.

Ginny Scholtz
Ginny is a nurse with an urge to write. She enjoys
family, nature and pondering life's experiences. Her poem,
"Stubble Rakers," was published in Wisconsin Trails Magazine. Member, WFOP.
